Our commitment to quality
The NICEIC are one of the leading governing bodies for electrical contractors to ensure full compliance across the industry. Electricare Limited are regularly inspected and are fully approved contractors to include Part P and PAT (Portable appliance testing).
NICEIC Approved Contractor
Formed in 1956, The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) is a leading organisation for the regulation and training of electrical contractors in the UK. A domestic electrician or commercial electrician registered with the NICEIC will need to meet their high standards and have their work checked. The organisation is so well-known and regarded, many local authorities will only hire NICEIC-approved contractors.
As approved contractors, our electrical work and installations must meet high standards and we are certified to supply customers with electrical certification services.
NICEIC Domestic Installer Part P
A domestic installer is an electrician who works in residential properties and who’s work must comply with Part P requirements. Part P is a section of the UK Building Regulations that addresses the safety standards for electrical installations in domestic properties. This helps to ensure consistent standards are met in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings. Not having the proper electrical certification, confirming your electrical installations meet current Building Regulations, can result in local building controls insisting the work be re-done, which is why hiring qualified electrical contractors is so important.
As approved members of the NICEIC Domestic Installer Part P scheme, every domestic electrician in our team is fully insured and works in adherence with Part P regulations.
NICEIC Approved PAT Contractor
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) involves a thorough examination of electrical appliances to check they are safe to use. It is the responsibility of commercial property owners, landlords and property agencies in Kent and throughout the UK, to arrange regular PAT checks. This is stipulated in The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, which requires that electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe working order. The NICEIC PAT scheme ensures electrical contractors are trained to undertake PAT testing.
As a commercial electrician approved to carry out PAT services, we support organisations in and around Kent, helping them to meet their health and safety obligations. This can include issuing an electrical certification.
ECA Registeed Member
The Electrical Contractors Association (trading as ECA) is a leading UK trade association that represents and supports organisations and businesses involved in electrical engineering and building services. Since its formation in 1901, it has championed for positive changes and improved standards across the industry.
